I am excited to share with you some important news regarding Equanimity IFA and our future. As one of our valued clients, I wanted to notify you personally that after careful consideration and extensive discussions, we are delighted to announce that we have been acquired by Atomos Financial Planning Limited.

WHY HAVE WE JOINED ATOMOS

When I set up Equanimity IFA Ltd in 2004, I was able to spend the vast majority of my time doing what I enjoy the most – advising and helping you, our clients. I have seen a lot of change in the last 19 years and for some time now I have been considering the best way to take the business forward to enable us to continuously deliver a service that meets the needs of our clients and that we can be proud of.

It has become apparent that as a small business, we simply cannot move with the times as the larger firms can with their more extensive resources. The decision to change the structure of Equanimity IFA was not an easy one, however in the end the solution was quite simple. We needed to work alongside another firm that would be capable of delivering the support structure we need.

The decision to join ‘atomos’ has been driven by our mutual desire to provide an even better service to our clients, strengthen our proposition and enhance our investment capabilities.

Like us, they place great importance on maintaining strong client relationships, exceptional service and innovative financial products.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR YOU?

On a day-to-day basis nothing will change as all the Equanimity team will be moving to atomos. You will continue to be looked after by myself, Gemma and our colleagues. We will continue to work with you to review the suitability of your investments and financial affairs.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

At the moment, you do not need to do anything. We will be in touch with you again formally on the 16th October and we will be available during the coming weeks to talk through this news and answer any questions.

Please be assured that you will continue to be looked after by us and investments will be managed in line with your agreed goals and objectives. My role will change somewhat because atomos will, thankfully take over a lot of my day-to-day leg work, enabling me to focus on an inclusive approach to wealth and financial planning to support people, particularly female clients. I, along with the rest of our team here, are committed to our future as part of atomos.

Before you ask, no I’m not retiring … I’m far too young for that! As a team we look forward to continuing to act on your behalf and focus on the provision of delivering high quality financial planning and we thank you for your ongoing support.
